Winning Strategy for Parents Against Critical Race Theory

The teaching of the Marxist based Critical Race Theory in American schools has triggered a national outrage not seen since the federal government imposed national Common Core Standards. Yet with all this focused energy, the odds for winning are long. Just like Common Core, this civilization killing cancer will be rebranded and move like a death angel across our land.

Let’s look at the obstacles faced by parents.

I really enjoy watching on TV the holiday events at our nation’s capitol. Under President Trump, we enjoyed spectacular patriotic programs done with class.

However, as this year’s PBS Annual Capitol Fourth program unfolded, it was clear that this would be different…..very different. Even the host’s outfit – though likely quite expensive – was drab. Her gown for her solo performance was colorful but tasteless.

Though Texas Republicans are crowing about their accomplishment in passing HB 3979 to ban Critical Race Theory, their handiwork is far worse than having no bill at all.

The Republican-controlled legislature failed to pass most of the Republican legislative priorities, yet with the national light shining on them, they passed a bill that will have incredibly devastating effects on the attitudes and beliefs of students. Then they lied to us about its merits.

The nation is watching as states begin to ban the teaching of critical race theory in schools. The pressure was on Texas lawmakers to join quickly with other red states in passing its own. Though Republicans are crowing about their accomplishment, the bill sent to Governor Greg Abbott for his signature is worse than having none at all. A comparison of the original House Bill 3979 with the final version clearly shows that the 1619 Project, although it is specifically banned, effectively will be implemented and America portrayed as a systemically racist nation.

Thankfully, Dangerous Texas School Choice Bill Died In Session

One of the nine Texas Republican Party Priorities for the 87^th Session is school choice but the bills filed in the 2021 legislative session were not the change that we need. Fortunately, the bills didn't gain support because they would opened the door to Marxist indoctrination and federal programs for low income students.
