Betsy DeVos’ Communist U.N. G20 Agreement In Texas Education

By Carole Hornsby Haynes, Ph.D. May 1, 2019

If Texas politicians have their way, the communist U.N. G20 agreement will be enshrined in Texas public education.  Responsibility for the shift from American capitalism and personal freedom toward a global socialist model can be laid squarely at the feet of government and politicians.

It was American politicians who established the U.S. as a founding and permanent member of the communist-led U.N. in 1945. To disseminate its propaganda widely, the U. N. created its worldwide education change agent, UNESCO.

It was UNESCO that initially funded the U.N. commissioned International Baccalaureate program that is widely used in American education.  Schools pay a premium for the “privilege” of using IB studies that are designed to undermine allegiance to national sovereignty and the American economic system.  Despite the withdrawal of the U.S. from UNESCO, its tentacles are still deeply embedded in American education.

It was federal government appointee, U.S. Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, who signed the U.S. onto the radical left international education agreement which stated the G20 ministers are in “line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda.”

DeVos and the other signers committed children to indoctrination in the U.N. backed ideology of “sustainable development,” a scheme for reorganizing human society to redistribute wealth. The curricula include sustainable development and non-cognitive skills such as social and emotional learning (SEL), the code term for psychological conditioning to instill values and attitudes of the international establishment.

It is Texas legislators, including Republicans, who are doing their fair share to pass legislation to insert the radical U.N. G20 agreement into the Texas Education Code and, thus, into  classrooms.

Here are five bills they have filed that, if passed, will force Texas students to be indoctrinated in the U.N. curricula of "globalism" -- the rebranded term for communism.

HB 4574 implements the G20 agreement signed by DeVos that instructs the Texas State Board of Education to “require each school district to incorporate into the district’s curriculum the 17 sustainable development goals adopted by the United Nations to transform the world.”

HB 4589 requires public schools to become “globally competitive" as measured by "national" (Common Core / ESSA) and "international" (U.N.) standards. Each student will be required to earn a high school diploma and either a college degree or a certificate in one of the industry sectors dictated by the U.S. government in the 1990s for the creation of a centrally planned economy to replace capitalism.

HJR150 embeds globalism in the Texas Constitution by requiring that November 2019 ballots include the following proposition, "The constitutional amendment requiring the system of public free schools to be globally competitive.”

HB 4454 implements the U.N. agreement signed by DeVos that includes "Social and Emotional Learning." The bill amends the Texas Education Code to require the State Board of Education to adopt Social and Emotional Learning Curriculum Standards.  From these standards, course content and tests using government approved values and thinking will be created.

SB 1323 forces students who take dual credit courses to fill out a very lengthy and nosy application for a federal loan, whether or not a student wants the loan or wants to provide highly personal individual and family information. This bill irresponsibly encourages students to go into debt to attend college, yet only one in five millennials expect to pay off their loans before they die and 42% regret ever taking a loan.  Politicians have decided that 60 percent of everyone between the ages of 25 and 34 must attend college to meet the state’s economic goals. Forcing students to apply for a federal loan to achieve state economic goals is clear evidence that Texas is being forced into a socialist, centrally planned economy.

Passage of these bills represents a major threat to our economy and personal freedom as children's worldviews, Western values, and beliefs are forever changed to accept the utopian dream of the U.N.’s world order and socialism.

If conservatives continue to “take the high road” instead of taking aggressive action to stop such actions by our elected officials, we will soon find ourselves living the utopian dream that Venezuelans are now living.
