The United States Is Out of WHO! Or Is It?

We’re out! The United States is officially out of the World Health Organization, one year after giving notice!

On January 20, 2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order that was delivered to the WHO two days later.  The withdrawal became official two days later, leaving the Gates Foundation and GAVI to fill the power vacuum as top contributors. 

Trump’s Executive Order addresses the reasons for the withdrawal including, “The WHO’s mishandling of the COVID-19 that arose out of Wuhan, China, and other global health crises, its failure to adopt urgently needed reforms, and its inability to demonstrate independence from the inappropriate political influence of WHO member states.  The WHO continues to demand unfairly onerous payments from the United States, far out of proportion with other countries’ assessed payments.  China, with a population of 1.4 billion, has 300 percent of the population of the United States, yet contributes nearly 90 percent less to the WHO.”   

Trump filed notice of withdrawal from WHO in 2020 at the peak of the COVID pandemic.  Biden reversed it on his first day in office. 

Withdrawing should be as simple as saying, "I divorce you."  But the withdrawal process is far complicated  -- for a reason. 

With WHO set to lose $988 million for the 2025-2026 period from the United States, there is much wailing.  WHO officials, determined to hold the U.S. as hostage, reminded Trump of two requirements for leaving:  a one-year notice and paying all dues owed – $278 million for the 2024-2025 period.

No way! The State Department vowed WHO will not get another dime from the United States. 

According to the WHO constitution, the 194 member nations are not allowed to withdraw. That's tyranny! 

The U.S. is an exception – the ONLY exception. In the 1948 joint resolution through Congress the U.S. reserved the right to withdraw.   Yet WHO is denying the U.S. right to withdraw unless they pay up.  Do they really believe they can keep a sovereign nation from leaving? Do they really believe we will pay hundreds of millions more? 

If the United States remains in the organization, Americans will be subjected to further medical tyranny under WHO's Pandemic Agreement approved in May 2025.   It sets the stage for

• fast-tracked experimental vaccines;
• top-down emergency mandates;
• digital vaccine passports; 
• expanded cross-border surveillance; and
• coordinated censorship of dissenting scientists and physicians under the banner of “misinformation.” 

Member nations are expected to discuss whether the United States can leave, with or without payment, in February at the WHO Executive Board meeting and again at the World Health Assembly in May. 

They will soon realize there is “a new sheriff in town.” Their bullying and intimidating us like spoiled brats is gone with the “old world order.” Americans are fed up with funding the world that hates us.
